Working From Home? Spring Cleaning Tips and Advice
We all go through our regular cleaning regimens and get into a daily mentality of needing to do the vacuuming, washing, dusting, and dishwashing. It’s all the fundamentals, but it’s not always simple to stay on top of the greater undertakings. The ones you don’t do as frequently but still need to schedule.
With the epidemic, cleaning has become much more of a focus, not only in the home but also while we were outside. It has emphasised the necessity of maintaining cleanliness. To eliminate any bacteria that may be lurking about the house and to combat germs and diseases. With so many people still working from home, we are spending a lot more time in our homes as well. So being in a clean and hygienic space for the majority of our day should be something we strive for. Spring cleaning is on its way so it is a perfect time to do all the jobs you need to get on top of.
Clean the Fridge Thoroughly
The refrigerator is one of those items that you tend to overlook because keeping it clean can be a chore. Food and spills occur, and when you have to clean them up, it can be aggravating. Simply take your time, remove everything from the refrigerator, spray it all with disinfectant, and make sure it looks spotless. Remove any dubious or expired food and replace it with what you have leftover. Your refrigerator will look great and will be free of bacteria and mould. Then you can fill it with all your favourite lunches and foods to have while you work.
Take Time to Clean Things You Cook With
Not just the oven, but also grills, barbecues, coffee making equipment – a brush grinder will help you with that – and microwaves. You don’t have to use dangerous chemicals all of the time; there are some that you can do yourself. However, just like the refrigerator where you store your food, you must ensure that everything is clean and free of pests and bacteria. Take an afternoon to accomplish everything, and order takeout that evening to avoid hurrying the projects so you can use them afterwards. Trying to mix a cup of water with a tablespoon of vinegar is a simple method to remove stains and spills in the microwave.
Make Sure You Declutter
Decluttering is a job that should be done regularly as we always end up collecting stuff and not putting things back where they belong, we then end up with drawers full of junk mail, empty batteries and all sorts lying about. Not to mention keeping hold of things that we probably don’t need anymore or will use again like clothes that don’t fit or books we have read and don’t plan to reread. If you tackle room by room you can declutter in a weekend easily. You can donate things to charity, give to friends and throw away no good things. If you declutter your workspace is sure to dispose of things properly. If you need to get rid of sensitive information make sure you shred it or take it to a confidential waste bin at your workplace. You can also look to get bin hire if you need to get rid of a lot of stuff at once.
